Providers enrolling in the 2-Day option are expected to have a basic understanding of the following:

• Performing BLS CPR skills using the most recent American Heart Association Guidelines
• Reading and interpreting ECGs
• Understanding ACLS drugs and treatment algorithms
• Performing the BLS Primary Survey and the ACLS Secondary Survey

Providers enrolling in the 1-Day option are required to be proficient in the following:

• Performing BLS CPR skills using the most recent American Heart Association Guidelines
• Reading and interpreting ECGs
• Understanding ACLS drugs and treatment algorithms
• Performing the BLS Primary Survey and the ACLS Secondary Survey

Providers enrolling in the Skills Testing Option Only are required to be proficient in the following:

• You have had a previous professional CPR class for healthcare providers
• You are proficient in the basic techniques and progression of the CPR sequence for adults, children, and infants
• You are proficient in the relief of choking for adults, children, and infants and the proper use of an AED

Healthcare providers who do not meet the prerequisites should take the Skills Practice and Testing Option at no additional cost.

By continuing with the registration you understand that the American Heart Association requires that Healthcare Providers enrolling in the BLS for Healthcare Provider Course have a textbook for the course. Please bring your copy of the BLS for Healthcare Provider textbook to class. If you do not have a textbook you may purchase one from us a t a cost of $15.
