“Stress Free” Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Class

Course Overview 
Welcome to the American Heart Association’s ACLS course, taught in Nursing Unlimited’s trademark supportive, stress-free environment. This course is designed to give students the opportunity to practice and demonstrate proficiency in the many skills used in resuscitation, including using airway adjuncts, performing high-quality CPR, and using a defibrillator. Simulated cases allow students to practice both team leader and team member roles. Multiple videos are incorporated into the course, providing information, case illustrations and demonstrations. The interactive and dynamic learning environment contribute to making this one of our most popular courses, with our staff consistently receiving outstanding evaluations.
Course Prerequisites and Preparation
The ACLS Provider course is limited to healthcare providers who either direct or participate in patient resuscitation. Because this course covers an extensive amount of material in a short time, significant pre-course preparation is required. In order to succeed in this course, participants must:
- Be able to perform high-quality CPR and use an AED.
- Be able to read and interpret ECGs.
- Be knowledgeable in basic pharmacology and drug administration.
- Understand the 10 Core Cases in the ACLS Provider Manual.
- Understand the ACLS algorithms for the Core Cases and the critical actions associated with them.

The course fee is $200 for 12 contact hours and includes a copy of the ACLS Provider Manual (from Nursing Unlimited’s Library) and Study Guide.
If you are well versed in ACLS protocols, you have the option of attending the first 8 hours of any class for testing only. A current ACLS Provider Card is required. The fee is $140 for 8 Contact Hours.
If you are not practicing ACLS as a regular part of your professional role in your healthcare facility it is recommended that you take the entire course.
Please remember to include $5.00 for shipping and handling.
BLS for Healthcare Providers is no longer a prerequisite for entry into the ACLS program; the AHA requires “BLS SKILLS”. However, if your BLS card has expired or is about to expire and you wish to renew, we still offer BLS cerfification within the ACLS course for a discounted price of $25.
